Other members on the village rent plots here to grow their own produce. This project is centered around  and educating the community on sustainable development and permiculture .

OUDE MOLEN STABLES

Kendre has built up his herd of horses over many years and offers pony rides, dressage lessons, jumping lessons, shows, holiday camps, outrides, carriage rides and wagon rides. It is great to take a walk down to the wetlands next to the horse paddocks and absorb their healing energy.

THE PLAYSHED

Bruce and Jeanne have created a wonderful environment for kids at The Playshed.  They have all sorts of toys, dress up clothing and apparatus that small kids love to play on.  They cater for kiddie parties and offer  tea, cake and light meals to the parents too.  Jeanne’s carrot cake is legendary around here. Their  other business World of Wonder creates amazing clocks out of old vinyl records and has killer artwork, so if you are looking for some South African flavoured souvenirs be sure to check out these special goodies.

OOM DAAN SE PLAAS POOL & BRAAI AREA

The Oude Molen Tenants Association has done a great job of renovating the pool area over the past few years. The entrance fee is R50 for adults and R25 for kids. There are huts that can be hired too for a day of braaing – our national past time and swimming. All proceeds go towards the goal of improving and beautifying the village and developing its long term vision, so is money well spent.
